PeriCue is built so your health information stays yours. Everything you log lives on your device. We don't have an account system, we don't run analytics, and we never collect, sell, or share your data.
The short version: Your symptoms, cycle, treatments, and notes are stored only on your iPhone. PeriCue has no servers that receive your health data, so there is nothing for us to see, sell, or lose.
This policy explains how the PeriCue app (“PeriCue,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use it on your iPhone. It applies to the app itself and the optional PeriCue Plus subscription.
Everything you enter — symptoms and their severity, hot flashes, cycle and period events, medications and HRT, supplies and reminders, lifestyle factors, journal entries, and any notes — is saved locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. This information is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
Because there is no PeriCue account and no PeriCue server storing your entries, we have no ability to access, view, or recover the health information you log. If you delete the app, that data is removed with it, so consider exporting anything you want to keep first.
If you choose to connect Apple Health, PeriCue can read sleep and menstrual-cycle data to save you from re-entering history you already have. This access is read-only: PeriCue reads the data you approve, uses it on your device to fill in your logs and trends, and does not write anything back to Apple Health or transmit it anywhere. You control this permission in the Health app and can revoke it at any time.
PeriCue lets you import cycle history from a CSV file exported by another tracker. That file is read on your device to create your entries and is not uploaded to us. What happens to the original export file is governed by whichever service you obtained it from.
PeriCue Plus is an optional subscription sold through Apple's App Store. Purchases, billing, the free trial, and renewals are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. PeriCue never sees or stores your name, payment card, or Apple ID. The app only checks with Apple whether an active subscription exists so it can unlock premium features on your device.
PeriCue contains no third-party analytics, no advertising, and no tracking technologies. We do not use cookies or device identifiers to profile you, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it — because we never receive it in the first place. Information leaves your device only when you deliberately choose to share it, for example when you:
In those cases you decide where the file goes, and the app or service you send it through then handles it under its own terms.
PeriCue is intended for adults tracking their own perimenopause and menopause health. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Because your data lives on your device, you are in direct control of it. You can edit or delete individual entries at any time, revoke Apple Health access in the Health app, and remove all app data by deleting PeriCue from your iPhone.
